cover Ups

we specialize in creating beautiful, custom tattoos, including cover-up tattoos. Our experienced artists understand that sometimes, people may regret their old tattoos or simply want to transform them into something new and more meaningful. That’s where we come in – we use a variety of techniques to create stunning cover-up tattoos that will leave you feeling confident and proud to show off your ink.

One of the techniques we use for cover-up tattoos is opaque tattoo ink. This type of ink is designed to be highly pigmented, making it perfect for covering up old tattoos. Opaque ink can be used to create a solid new design, effectively hiding the old tattoo beneath it. Our artists are skilled at using opaque ink to create beautiful, seamless cover-up tattoos that will look as if they were always part of your body.

Considerations

When creating a cover-up tattoo, it’s important to keep in mind that the new tattoo will generally need to be larger than the old tattoo in order to effectively cover it up. Our artists will work with you to design a new tattoo that takes into account the placement and size of your old tattoo, while also creating a new, cohesive design that reflects your personal style and preferences. We understand that cover-up tattoos can be a sensitive subject, which is why we take the time to listen to our clients and work with them to create a tattoo that they will love.

Consultation

At Rebel Ink Tattoo Shop, we believe that every cover-up tattoo is unique and requires a customized approach. That's why we require a consultation before any cover-up tattoo session. During this consultation, one of our experienced artists will work with you to determine how a cover-up can be possible and what approach should be taken.

During the consultation, our artist will examine the old tattoo, taking into consideration its size, color, and placement. They will also discuss your desired outcome for the new tattoo, whether it's to fully cover the old tattoo or to incorporate parts of it into a new design. Based on this assessment, they will create a custom design for your cover-up tattoo, taking into account the colors, shading, and techniques needed to create a seamless and effective cover-up.

In some cases, it may not be possible to fully cover up an old tattoo. For example, if the old tattoo is very dark or has intricate designs, it may be difficult to completely conceal it. Our artist will be honest with you about what can realistically be achieved and will work with you to find the best solution for your needs. in this case laser tattoo removal would aid in lightening the tattoo just enough to cover it.
